BALLINAHOWN VILLAGE WINS NATIONAL BRONZE MEDAL AWARD

Ballinahown has picked up the County Westmeath award in the Tidy Towns competition for the seventh year running, as well as the bronze award in its population category. The Village recieved a total of 295 points out of a potential 400 up from 293 in 2010. It droped 1 point in 'roads, streets & back areas category, but gained 1 point in each of the following categories - 'Waste Minimisation, Tidiness & Residential Areas.

Ballinahown Community Development Association would like to thank everybody who supported the Tidy Towns initiative in any way during 2011.
